FIGHTING HUNGER ONE BIG BITE AT A TIME!
For those living in urban food deserts, where access to fresh, nutritious food is scarce, the consequences can be dire—research shows that people in these areas have a life expectancy up to 10 years shorter than those with access to healthy food. This is largely due to diets high in fast and highly processed foods.

That’s why we launched the PDY&F Community Garden, where we provide fresh fruits, vegetables, and organic foods, and offer a sustainable path to health and wellness. Food is medicine for the mind, body, and soul. Most importantly, it can lead to a healthier lifestyle, breaking the cycle of poor nutrition and its long-term effects.

WE GROW A WELL-BALANCED GARDEN
Items are based on seasonality, harvest, and availability.

FRESH VEGETABLES
Wide variety of leafy green vegetables, broccoli, onions and peppers, garlic, tomatoes, potatoes, squash, zucchini and string beans, eggplant beets, corn, okra,
and more!

SEASONAL FLOWERS
Our newest partner will beautify the garden with fragrant
flowers to improve pollination and broaden our reach and sustainability.

FARM RAISED EGGS
Locally produced, farm-raised eggs are fresh and nutritious, often containing higher levels of essential vitamins and omega-3s than store-bought alternatives.

SEASONAL HONEY
As a part of our sustainability initiative, we are partnering with local beekeepers for delicious products and training so that we can eventually sell fresh honey at pop-up markets for a fair price.
